What you paste or upload

Every tool on hexnook — including the JSON formatter, Base64 encoder, hash generator, regex tester, JWT decoder, color converter, UUID generator, password generator, timestamp converter, diff checker, URL encoder/decoder, Markdown previewer, HTML/CSS/JS formatter, Lorem Ipsum generator, and cron expression parser — processes your input entirely within your browser, using JavaScript's built-in JSON parser, the Web Crypto API, native regular expressions, and bundled client-side libraries. Text you type, files you drop for Base64 encoding, and tokens you paste into the JWT decoder are never transmitted to any server we operate.

JWT secrets

If you use the JWT decoder's optional signature-verification feature, the secret you enter is used only to run a local HMAC verification in your browser via the Web Crypto API. It is never sent anywhere, and is discarded the moment you navigate away or reload the page.

Generated passwords

Passwords produced by the password generator are created with crypto.getRandomValues() entirely inside your browser tab. They are never transmitted, logged, or stored anywhere — not even in your browser's local storage — and are discarded the moment you navigate away or reload the page.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g. which pages are visited, approximate country of origin). This data is anonymized/aggregated and is not linked to any content you process on this site.

Cookies

This site itself does not set cookies for its tools to function. Third-party services we use (analytics, advertising, once enabled) may set their own cookies, governed by their own privacy policies.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under regulations such as the GDPR or CCPA to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we do not collect the content you process on this site, there is generally nothing of that nature to request. For questions, see our Contact page.
